Nagpur orphanage / New Bidipeth Christian Church / Ramesh Dhobley

Evangelists / Mission

Ramesh is the pastor at NBCC, the church he began in the 1980’s after becoming a disciple. His wife is a believer and their son Jabez, who turned 20 during our visit, also attends. There are about 75 people who are members of the church. Ramesh is pure in heart, dedicated to obeying the scriptures, humble, and compassionate. Ben Homan preached an encouraging message at NBCC about the New Covenant.

Orphanage

Meeting the boys was one of the most impactful aspects of our trip. We were able to spend quite a bit of time playing with them and watching them interact. While we’re sure they were on their best behavior for us, we were with them enough to see that they are eager to learn, to behave well and to know God. Their innocence and the way they took care of each other was inspiring. Nine boys are currently with Ramesh. He expressed the possibility of adding 3 more boys in March 2013!

POW partnership

Once we met the boys and saw their progress and how much they are being cared for, the four of us believe that POW sponsorship of these orphans is absolutely the right course of action and should be prioritized.
