POW is excited to announce a new partnership with Paul, Margaret, and their three children who relocated to SE Asia last year. We cannot disclose their full names or location due to safety threats. Their primary mission is to start a Bible-based church and planting movement throughout the region. They are raising up national believers whom they can disciple, mentor, love, and encourage to reach the country’s remote settlements, where foreigners are not allowed to live. The goal is to train national believers to be effective in these areas to share the Gospel, meet needs, and plant churches. In these focused areas, over 2.1 million Muslim people exist with no access to assistance or discipleship.
The local believers are in need of solid Bible teaching and training in discipleship and evangelism. Currently, Paul and Margaret are partnering with a national couple in a remote region. Paul meets with them regularly for prayer walking, sharing, encouraging, and training. Additionally, their aim is to reach and minister to the thousands of Middle East refugees now living in the area. Paul started an English Club with local nationals and refugees. There, he teaches and models his faith and integrity. With prayer and perseverance, the goal is for these attendees to return to their camps and share the good news.
Margaret faithfully homeschools their children, participates in a woman’s prayer group, and volunteers at a local school. Paul and Margaret want to share Christ with the people without making them financially or spiritually dependent on foreigners. Paul is helping them establish businesses, so they can support themselves and create a self-supporting Bible believing church that reflects their culture and traditions.
Having left everything they know in the US, Paul and Margaret have committed to live in this area indefinitely. In view of their faithfulness, sacrifice, and commitment to discipleship, POW has committed to support them spiritually, emotionally, and financially. As with all POW partnerships, 100% of donations will go directly to the field. Currently, they are in need of monthly donations to maintain residence in a safe area of the city and satisfy their basic living needs. In addition, pray for their endurance, safety, and success.
